First published in Kansas in 1956, Bon Appetit is now owned by the legendary publisher, Conde Nast in New York City. This culinary lifestyle magazine covers culinary history, travel, entertaining, shopping and design as well as cooking in and dining out. As a result, this magazine claims over 1.5 million subscribers, 74% of whom are married professional women over 40 years of age.

The only magazine focusing on food and wine now published in New Zealand. Launched in 1986, it has won awards for its culinary coverage (and honesty) from no less that Le Cordon Bleu. Bi-monthly issues cover national and international food and wine topics as well as annually announce best-of-the-best vendor and restaurant awards. Well worth the read (and a subscription).

Conceived in 1978 as an alternative to other "over-curated" gourmet magazines, Food & Wine is now owned by Time, Inc. and read by over 1 million men and women.
